Rasing Sun have released the following statement regarding the previously reported incidents

For Clarification, we had three incidents linked to our venue over the Bank holiday weekend, addressed below:
Incident One
Friday 27th August to Saturday 28th August [CCTV Footage Incident]
There was an alleged altercation with the door security team and a customer, consequently CCTV footage of this event was leaked to the public on Monday 30 August. We must stress that the safety of our customers is paramount, the treatment and behaviour of which seemed to be shown in the leaked CCTV footage we, under no circumstances condone. We can confirm that we have launched an internal investigation and those involved in this incident have been suspended pending a police investigation.
Contrary to recent news reports we can confirm that thankfully there was no serious injury caused from this incident. We can clarify that no ambulance was called and after the altercation all parties departed safely.
This incident was in no way related to the statement posted via our Facebook page on Monday 27th August 2021.
Unfortunately, due to an ongoing police investigation we cannot comment any further at this time
Incident Two Saturday 28 August 2021
An incident reported by the press has incorrectly linked our venue to an altercation 150 yards away from our venue outside Poundland. We believe that the parties involved were taken to the nearby hospital with reported head injuries. We would like to clarify that this incident was linked incorrectly to our venue, we do however wish that those involved have a speedy recovery.
Incident Three
Sunday 29th August into Monday 30 August 2021
After the venue had closed for the evening, there was a reported fracas outside, which led to a member of the public being knocked to the ground and unfortunately hitting their head. An ambulance was called, and the person involved was taken to hospital. Because this was a head injury the police cordoned the area off until results come back from hospital.
Due to the circumstances over the weekend the rumour mill started to spread about a fatality at our venue.
As soon as we were informed by the police that the party involved was ok, we released a statement on our social media platforms.
However, this statement was mistakenly linked to Friday’s incident which caused a social media outcry, due to an ongoing police investigation we decided to remove all posts.
We hope to come to a speedy conclusion to everything that we are involved in so we can all move on and work with the local authorities to make our venue a better place. Once the investigation is over, we will be happy to answer any questions to put peoples mind at rest.
