JANNA’S STORY:
Our story has been a difficult one. When my son was 3 he was diagnosed with ALL acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. After 3 years of gruelling treatment he got the all clear. We were so overjoyed and looking forward to the future.
Unfortunately the day before my son was due to ring the bell to mark the end of treatment. I was diagnosed with ocular melonoma a rare type eye cancer I was (as we all were) totally devastated.
After a few unsuccessful treatments the decision was made to remove my eye, which was distressing but at least I was cancer free.
In November 2021 I was told my cancer had spread to my liver I have had several rounds of immunotherapy but sadly it just hasnt worked.
Since my type of cancer is so rare and behaves differently to other melonomas, my only option is to have Chemo-Sat which isn’t currently on the nhs. Chemo sat is performed under a general, the liver is saturated in chemo then drained. This treatment is £40,000 per round and my Health care team have told me that I will need 3 rounds.
I am beseeching all of you out there to please, please help me even if its just a little bit and you share my story on, I’m confident I’ll get near my target

With lots of love Janna
