Thames Chase are delighted to welcome the local community to our longstanding Apple Weekend taking place 16th – 17th October 2021.
With lots of demonstrations, tastings, talks, performances and activities, we are looking forward to celebrating our historic farm buildings at this wonderful autumnal festival.
A selection of locally grown English apples, juices, honey and preserves will be available for tasting and purchasing celebrating the local produce available.
Country crafts and woodcrafts will be on display for sale.
There will be activities for all the family to enjoy too, including scarecrow, craft activities and a trail around the site.
The Land of the Fanns will be running a volunteer fayre as part of the Apple Weekend. Volunteer groups and organisations from across the Land of the Fanns will be on hand to offer details about the ways in which volunteers can make a difference in heritage and environmental projects. The Scheme also launches its volunteer opportunities resource at the Apple Weekend. Volunteer opportunities across the area have been pulled together into an information pack which will be available as a handout on fayre days and can also be downloaded from the Land of the Fanns website. For more information visit www.landofthefanns.org.uk.
