Havering Mind has released information about the planned road closures on Sunday 12th September
The race itself starts at 9:30am from Abbs Cross Sports Centre, Abbs Cross Lane, Hornchurch.
There will be a ROLLING ROAD CLOSURE starting just before the sports centre on Abbs Cross Lane at approximately 9:25am. During this time the road will be CLOSED from the sports centre up until the HAYDES DRIVE along South End Road. You will not be able to exit onto the road from any roads that adjoin onto South End road during this time. In reality all runners are likely to be through turning into Hornchurch Country Park at Albyns Farm within 20 minutes of starting (9:50am) and the road will be up and running again!
The following roads in Upminster will also be shut from around 9:45am – 11:30am:
-BERWICK POND ROAD from the Berwick Manor up to Park Farm Road
-PARK FARM ROAD from the turning with Hacton Lane to the turning with Harwood Hall Lane
-HACTON LANE between Park Farm Road and The Optimist pub.Please avoid unnecessary travel in cars at this time and be patient as you may experience delays.
