The Rising Sun was recently closed because of an incident involving a man and the doorman
At the time the Rising Sun was quoted as saying
Since then this video of the incident has been shared online
Also The Raising Sun Facebook page has been closed
The man suffered injuries to his face and was taken to hospital. Police have confirmed the injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
No arrests have been made and officers are continuing to investigate the incident.

In an update provided on Wednesday (September 1) the bar clarified that staff involved in the incident had been suspended pending a police investigation, and an internal investigation by Rising Sun
The statement continued: “Contrary to recent news reports we can confirm that thankfully there was no serious injury caused from this incident. We can clarify that no ambulance was called and after the altercation all parties departed safely”
