A programme of in-person holiday activity for young people of all ages.
These summer activities are designed to help offer safe and inclusive spaces for young people to develop friendships, grow confidence in working alongside other people and most of all have fun learning and developing their skills as theatre makers with support from professional tutors.
Summer School Week 1 – Make a Musical
Mon 26 – Fri 30 Jul | Ages 9-18 | 10am-4:00pm | £100 per child
It’s our hugely popular musical in a week with a twist! This year you get to write your very own musical!
Join local musician Andrew Linham to learn about the art of song writing and work with a director to explore acting through song. Together you will write and rehearse a brand new musical to perform on Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch’s ‘The Other Stage’.
Participants should bring a packed lunch, drink and snack daily.
This activity will run subject to removal of current Covid-19 restrictions.

Summer School Week 2 – Stories of Freedom
Wed 4 – Fri 6 Aug | Ages 6-11 | 10am-3:30pm | £60 per child
Join us to devise a play every day for 3 days, through games, drama activities and lots of fun. Explore devising and storytelling techniques while building on your performance skills.
Participants should bring a packed lunch, drink and snack daily.

Summer School Week 3 – Acting Boot Camp
Wed 18 – Fri 20 Aug | Ages 12-18 | 10am-4:00pm | £60 per student
Work alongside a professional theatre maker for an intensive 3-day work-out of your acting muscles. Explore professional acting exercises, develop your performance skills and learn some top industry tips along the way.
Participants should bring a packed lunch, drink and snack daily.
