This half term, the Brookside Theatre, in partnership with the Badur Foundation, invite audiences on an unforgettable adventure as one of Beatrix Potter’s most popular and well-loved characters is brought to life in a magical new stage production featuring beautiful puppetry, enchanting songs, fun and just a little theatre magic.

Peter Rabbit is known the world over as the clever and daring bunny who succeeds in plundering mean Mr McGregor’s vegetable patch, despite the traps and perils. This charming musical finds the mischievous little rabbit running away from home to embark on an unforgettable adventure to find out where he truly belongs. With the help of his friends and a host of colourful characters, will Peter finally realise that there truly is no place like home?
Artistic Director, Jai Sepple BEM explains, “We are thrilled to be working in partnership with The Badur Foundation and this production marks the first of a new initiative called Brookside Theatre for Young People (BTYP) which aims to offer the young people of our community the opportunity to engage with arts and culture, introduce them to the magic of theatre and hopefully inspire in them a lifelong love of the arts. The last year has been so difficult for so many young people and we are looking forward to bringing just a little theatre magic to the children of our borough.”

The theatre are offering a limited number of free tickets to local schools, children’s groups and youth organisations and anyone interested should email info@brooksidetheatre.com for further information.

Handed down from generation to generation, the story of the cheeky Peter Rabbit holds a special place in our hearts, so whether you’re looking for a hug of nostalgia or the perfect introduction to one of literatures most beloved characters, this truly enchanting musical, with book, music and lyrics by Jonathan Harris, promises to be fun for all the family.
