Revealing the most common/weirdest items those living in London have been greeted with when arriving at their new home, the study also reveals just who is the most forgetful and wasteful of them all!The survey has revealed:

  • Londoners are the most wasteful when moving home: Over 1/3 of Londoners admitted to ditching their unwanted items on unsuspecting new residents!
  • In the forgetful category, Londoners don’t fare so well either, ranking in 2nd place. 32% have reported having forgotten items behind in a house move.
  • Londoners are the most guilty of leaving rotting food behind, with 15% of new resident arriving to foul-smelling old food in fridges!
  • On the topic of the most common items found when moving into a new home, Plants have come up as the most discarded things by those in London, followed by old clothing and rotten food.
  • Among the weirdest items left behind in London are old, dirty underwear, a hanging doll and a human dummy.
